Baptism is going public about your faith in Jesus and communicating to the world your heart-felt commitment to following Him.
People often have questions regarding baptism: Why should I be baptized? What if I've already been baptized—do I have to do it again? Does it matter if someone is sprinkled or dunked?
Baptism is a public testimony of what Christ has done in your life as a Christ-follower. It is a symbolic picture of death, burial and resurrection— a symbol of your new life because of Jesus!
Baptism doesn't make you a believer- it shows that you already believe. Baptism does not "save" you; only by believing and receiving the work of Christ done on your behalf does that. Baptism is like a wedding ring; it's the outward symbol of the commitment you make in your heart. It's a symbol of both your commitment to Christ and to His church. This is an important step as you publicly identify yourself as a follower of Jesus. To sign up go to the NEXT STEPS booth on Sunday or click BAPTISM below.
